Cyprus and the Troodos Mountains at the southwest
The village of Pano Plátres (Upper Plátres) is located on the southern slopes of the Troodos Mountains. Pano Plátres is one of the 23 recognized wine villages of the Limassol district. It lies about 25 km northwest of Limassol and 45 km southwest of the capital Nicosia, at an altitude of approximately 1,200 m. A popular holiday destination, Pano Plátres offers a variety of accommodations, hiking trails and one of Cyprus’s highest waterfalls, Caledonia. The village retains much old-world charm, includes a vineyard in its lower area, and hosts a cultural centre that highlights its connection with the Greek poet Giorgos Seferis. The workshop will take place in several of the lower wine villages of the Limassol district.
